About the Event

Join us at The Clifton House for a hands-on sculpture workshop led by ceramist and multidisciplinary artist V. Watson in this first in our ongoing event installment BEAMS. Attendees will engage with Lucille Clifton's poetic work, "The Lesson of the Falling Leaves" and combine it with the artistic practice of her activist husband, Fred Clifton via sculpture, in a ceramic piece that explores form and structure as related to poetry.

About The Instructor:

Victoria Walton is a multidisciplinary artist and educator living in Baltimore. They have an MFA in Ceramic Art from Alfred University and a BFA with a focus in ceramics from Towson University. V explores the wonder and complexity of Black identity, creating sculpture and video works that center the narratives of women and gender-expansive people. She…
