About the Event
“They Dream in Gold” is a love story rooted in the sights, sounds, and flavors of the African Diaspora, a cross-continental debut novel from Baltimore native author Mai Sennaar. Join us at The Clifton House on Thursday, October 10th, from 6 pm to 8 pm, as we embark on a literary journey alongside protagonists Mansour and Bonnie, navigating love, art, and the nuances of their complex family structure.
Selections from the text will be read accompanied by acclaimed Baltimore musician, Brandon Woody, and a sampling of cuisines from the various cultures and cities highlighted throughout the couple's journey.
The reading will be followed by a Q&A session with the author.
