I was chatting with some friends the other day about gaming and specifically sports betting, and we got into a deep discussion about single bets versus parlays. Everyone seemed to have strong opinions, but I'm still a bit torn. From what I understand, single bets are less risky but offer smaller payouts, while parlays have high risk and high reward. What are the main advantages and disadvantages you've experienced with both types of wagers? I'm trying to figure out which strategy makes more sense for casual betting.

From my perspective, single bets are definitely the way to go for consistency and managing your bankroll. The biggest pro is the lower risk involved; you only need one outcome to be correct. This also means it's easier to play incrementally and extend your betting time. The downside, of course, is that the upside is mild – you won't get rich quick. Parlays, conversely, offer that tempting massive payout, which is their main draw. But the con is huge: if even one of your selections is wrong, your entire parlay loses, and the risk of losing your stake is very high. I recently read an article at https://biznakenya.com/single-bets/ that highlighted how professional gamblers almost never opt for parlays due to their high house edge, especially on parlays with many "legs."
