Importance of Personalization
I didn’t really think much about personalization before, but recently I noticed I spend way more time in apps that seem to “get” what I like. For example, I open one app just to check something quickly, and suddenly I’m scrolling for 20 minutes because everything feels relevant. On the other hand, when I use platforms that show random or generic content, I lose interest fast. Do you actually care about how personalized things are, or is it just a nice bonus for you?

For me it’s become almost essential. I used to think it was just a small feature, but now I realize it really shapes how long I stay in an app. When recommendations are accurate, it saves time and makes the whole experience smoother. I remember reading something along these lines here: https://www.daylox.com/blog/why-mobile-entertainment-apps-feel-more-personal-than-desktop-platforms/ and it clicked why mobile apps feel more engaging. They kind of build a profile of your habits over time. I still check settings sometimes to adjust what I see, but overall I prefer platforms that learn from my behavior instead of making me search everything manually.
